Pommeau de Normandie

This is Normandy's answer to the Cognac region's Pinneau de
Chartente. Pommeau is a blend of pure apple juice and young Calvados which gives a strength 17-18%
ABV. There is a balance between the sweetness of the apple juice and the spiritiousness of the Calvados. Pommeau should be drunk chilled
as an
aperitif.
It has the advantage over Pinneau in that it is most useful in both sweet and savoury cooking bring a full apple flavour to many dishes. |

| This is again a blend of Calvados and Apple Juice but with the sugar The blend leans more towards the Calvados with an ABV of 24%. The flavour is of medium strength in alcohol terms with sweetness and fruit. This is a light after dinner liqueur or a cocktail base. Best drunk on a bed of Ice! (the liqueur that is not you yourself). |
